Trinidad Piarco International Airport (POS)
Travel and Ground Transport

(Trinidad, West Indies)

Piarco International Airport (POS) offers a very limited choice of ground transportation options and visitors with adequate budgets might want to consider renting a car for both speed and convenience.

However, there are plenty of taxis available to shuttle you to your hotel - usually for an inflated unmetered fee.

Hotel Shuttles

Most reputable hotels offer shuttle pick-up services for passengers staying at their establishments. Visitors are advised to check the availability of such services when booking their hotel, as they offer a much better alternative to the taxis at the airport.

Taxi Cabs

A taxi rank with drivers belonging to the Airport Taxi Driver's Co-operative can be found outside of the terminal building. You will find them quite assertive, competing for your custom. They try to charge a set, unmetered, fee which is quite common across the Caribbean and usually poor value, but vacationers will have little luck in finding other options. Attempts to share taxis is also discouraged among them.

Limousines

The airport has no limousine concessions available, but major hotels can invariably provide limousine pick-ups services for VIP guests.
